Glowdial · effective September 24, 2026

Glowdial does not collect, store or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party SDKs that send data anywhere.

Your save

Your progress is stored on your device. In the App Store version it is also kept in your own iCloud account, if you use iCloud, so it follows you to a new iPhone or your iPad; you can switch this off in More. That copy is private to your Apple account and we cannot see it. If you export a save code, it contains your game progress and nothing else, and it goes only where you paste it.

Widgets and Apple Watch

The Home Screen, Lock Screen and watch face widgets read a small summary of your game (glow, rates, colour, Daily Lock status) that the app leaves on your own devices. It never leaves them.

Network

The App Store version includes its music in the download, so playing it needs no network connection. The web version at glowdial.app loads its music from glowdial.app on first play and caches it on your device. No identifiers are sent with those requests.

Reminders

If you switch on reminders in the App Store version, Glowdial schedules local notifications on your device: one when your afterglow is full and one when a new Daily Lock is waiting. They are created and delivered by your iPhone. Nothing about them is sent to us or anyone else, and you can switch them off in More or in iOS Settings.

Daily Lock

The daily combination is worked out from the date on your device. Playing it sends nothing anywhere. If you share your result, the text contains only coloured squares and the puzzle number.

Ratings

The app may ask, through Apple's standard prompt, whether you'd like to rate it. Apple handles that prompt; Glowdial never sees your answer.

Children

Glowdial is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children.
